someone.ai is a music generation platform. When we say "we", "us", or "our", we mean the someone.ai team. We take your privacy seriously, especially because our service involves personal and emotionally sensitive information.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following types of data:

Account data — name, email address, and password (hashed) when you create an account
Song inputs — the names, memories, relationship details, mood preferences, and other inputs you provide to generate songs
Generated content — the lyrics, audio files, and metadata associated with your songs
Payment data — billing information is processed by Stripe and we do not store card details on our servers
Usage data — how you interact with the Service, for the purpose of improving it

3. How we use your data

To generate personalised songs from your inputs
To store and display your song history
To process payments and issue receipts
To send transactional emails (song ready, receipts, password resets)
To improve the quality and accuracy of our generation system
With your explicit consent, to send marketing and promotional communications

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Google Lyria 3 — AI music generation. Song input prompts are processed by Google's Lyria API under their applicable data terms.
Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Google / Apple OAuth — Optional social sign-in. We only receive your name and email from these providers.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data and song history for as long as your account is active. Generated audio files are stored for 12 months. You may delete your account and associated data at any time from your account settings.

6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are based in the UK or EU, you have the following rights:

The right to access the personal data we hold about you
The right to correct inaccurate data
The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
The right to data portability
The right to object to processing for marketing purposes

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain session state. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children

someone.ai is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or prominent notice on the Service.
